Welcome to the demonstration of how to make seed paper.
This makes a great gift within a Mother's Day card or wedding card.
Step 1
Materials for this project are:
Stiff board
Tea Towel x 2
Tissue paper
Small'ish seeds (Poppies, Marigolds, cornflowers, etc are perfect)
A water sprayer
Step 2
First fold the tissue paper in half.
Place the first
Tea Towel over the board and lay out the tissue paper unfolded.
Step 3
Sprinkle seeds on one half of the tissue paper (in this
case fennel).
Step 4
Fold the tissue paper over the seeds.
Step 5
Spray with the tissue paper with water until the paper
goes transparent. Now use the second Tea Towel to pad the paper in order
to remove any air bubbles and get rid of as much excess water as
possible. Now move to some where to dry (the airing cupboard is
perfect). The stiff board means you can just lift the whole thing.
Finished
Once dry the paper should lift from the Tea Towel and
you can trim to fit.
